February 7 Exodus 37-38 & Mark 15:21-47

Bezalel, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah and Oholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, are two people you didn't know before. They were the artisans for God’s dwell among the people. While we cannot know with certainty that they existed, it is very possible that they did exist according to some biblical scholars. Bezalel and Oholiab two people who used their gifts to serve the Lord. Your or my name may not be written down for some kind deed we have done in our lifetime, but be assured that just as God was grateful for the talents of Bezalel and Oholiab, he is grateful for each of us who put our abilities to work for the common good.

Jesus needed help caring the cross, “They pressed into service a passer-by, Simon, a Cyrenian, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.” Was Simon in the wrong place at the wrong time or in the right place and the right time? I believe he was in the right place at the right time. I am not much on coincidences or accidents. How will Jesus ask you to help him? Have you ever perceived him calling you in his need? He does need each of us here and now and he needs us each day. Pray to be aware of his call and need that is before you today.
