January 14 Genesis 31-32 & Mark 5:21-43

We find God within us and around us in others and in nature. God can use all his creation visible and invisible to speak to our hearts. I am not big on remembering my dreams, but I may need to be more attentive to them and to all the ways God may speak. Our faith's use of all our senses comes from our Jewish ancestors. Jacob built a sacred pillar to be a visible reminder of his invisible commitment to Laben. Our Church uses visible signs, water, wine, bread, oil, the imposition of hands, to communicate the invisible yet real power of God. Do you have a home altar? A sacred place in your home to pray and to remind you each time to be with your God? May you wrestle with God face to face and LIVE!!!

“Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction.” What afflicts you? Is it your mind, body or spirit that needs God's peace? Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your compassionate care. May all who are in need, trust you and be at peace. Again Jesus says, "Do not be afraid, just have faith." Jesus is Lord of the living and the dead! The miraculous is beyond us, but not beyond God that comes to us through his Son Jesus. May you hear the Lord say to you, "Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl(boy), I say to you, arise!” Talitha koum!
