March 5 Deut. 4-5 & Hebrews 9:11-10:18

God provides for all our need. When we start thinking we know better than God what we need is when our life turns down a path that leads to death, not simply our physical death but dying to what does and can truly give us life. Life is a gift from God. And this gift does come with instructions. Trust in God and his faithful people to speak in his name. So that you too will know the advantages of Fidelity to God. I am grateful for Deut. 4:7-8 “For what great nation is there that has gods so close to it as the LORD, our God, is to us whenever we call upon him? Or what great nation has statutes and ordinances that are as just as this whole law which I am setting before you today?” God is closer to us than our next breath of life-giving air. Have you shared your journey of faith with your spouse or children? They need to hear it. We all need to recognize the moments and events that have shaped our relationship with God. As you acknowledge God’s presence along your journey of faith know that the Lord is God and there is no other.

Jesus has obtained our redemption with his own blood. How far are you willing to go? If we are Christ’s followers, then we too are challenged to die to self and rise with Christ. By dying to our sins, we open ourselves to the salvation Christ offers us.
